What This Sign is For: The High Temperature Label is used to warn individuals of surfaces or equipment that may reach dangerous temperatures, helping to prevent burns, injuries, and accidental contact. These labels are commonly applied to machinery, piping, boilers, and mechanical systems where heat exposure poses a risk.

Legal Requirement Explained: While not always required as a standalone sign, High Temperature Labels are mandated under OSHA hazard communication and workplace safety standards (29 CFR 1910.145 and 1910.1200) where there is a recognized risk of thermal injury.
Employers are required to identify and communicate hazards, including hot surfaces, through proper labeling, signage, or other warning methods to ensure worker awareness and safety.
